the goan I networkrPONDArrIt may be recalled that the former chief minister and Congress leader Naik had sharply criticised Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar over the issue. rThough Naik had said that he would oppose the government’s move, he heard the grievances of the public in the administrative building office, where a few officers were present for the meeting. rSpeaking to media persons after the meeting, Naik hit out at PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar over his assurances to provide water for 24 hours. r“In 2012, he had assured that the water problem would be resolved by 2016. Now he is assuring water tanks for public. Is he aware about the financial position of the State to launch this scheme,” he questioned. r“First, he should see whether there is money to launch this scheme and then only he should announce,” he added. Naik also warned Dhavalikar regarding his interference in development works in Ponda. r“He has beautified the Kranti Maidan illegally and the chief minister should enquire into it,” Naik demanded. He reiterated that sewerage project should also be brought under scanner alleging scam. Naik informed The Goan that he will convene meeting of government servants along with public in the administrative building every Wednesday.
