Buddy Mobility Care launched at Dabolim

In a major step towards inclusive transportation, Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Monday launched Buddy Mobility Care, an initiative led by entrepreneur Sartaj Lamba aimed at providing specialised mobility solutions for wheelchair users.

With this launch, Dabolim becomes the first location in Goa to introduce a medical mobility system, marking a milestone in inclusive mobility services.

Speaking at the launch, Godinho lauded Lamba for her pioneering effort in a male-dominated industry, describing the initiative as a breakthrough in Goa’s journey towards accessibility and medical tourism.

“Now, a person arriving in a wheelchair at Dabolim Airport can be seamlessly transported to Goa’s leading hospitals and clinics with the help of Buddy Mobility systems,” he said, adding that the project would also open new employment avenues.

Lamba thanked the transport minister for his constant support and guidance, stating that her team’s mission is to make Goa an inclusive transport hub.

She also acknowledged the assistance of Transport Secretary Abhishek Parimal, Transport Commissioner Pawaskar, and Asha for their encouragement.
