Building of Shiva temple begins
MARGAO: Ayyappa Seva Sangham, Margao, is commencing the second phase of the temple construction with the construction of Shiva temple at the Ayyappa temple complex.
The shilanyas for the Shiva temple will be held on March 23, between 9.45 am and 10.30 am at the north east of the existing Ayyappa temple. The shilanyas will be performed by the temple tantry Brahmashree Elamann Shankaranarayanan Namboodiri.
Ayyappa temple Margao has been constructed based on shadadhara prathishta and Kerala temple architecture which is located at Vagulem near housing Board. The Shiva temple which is part of the temple master plan could not be taken up earlier due to paucity of land.
