Burglars targeted as many as four shops, all eateries, in both Margao and Fatorda police station jurisdictions on Wednesday night, decamping with cash amounting to Rs 60,000.
The miscreants effected entry into the shops by breaking the locks. They laid their hands on whatever cash that was found in the establishments.
Of the four establishments, three were eateries and a lone ice cream stall.
The police requisitioned the services of a sniffer dog and finger print experts to collect clues as part of the investigations.
The police are investigating.
