Left in the lurch by the party, a group of vendors visited the Margao police station on Thursday to lodge a complaint against the party for taking huge money in lieu of leasing out the premises to conduct business activities.
Led by Feedol and Pratima Coutinho, the beleaguered vendors made their presence at the Margao police station to lodge a complaint against the party. The police, however, advised them to produce all the legal documents, including the documents showing they had paid money to the party in lieu of the premises to do business.
After the Demolition Squad completed the demolition operation on Wednesday, a group of vendors had claimed that they had paid huge deposits as well as paid rent, ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 10,000 a month to run the business activities in the premises.
