Burglars broke into three temples at Pirna-Bardez and stole cash of about Rs 9,000.
The burglars broke the front door locks of the Shree Kelambika temple, Shree Vitthal temple and Shree Pandurang temple, which are around 200 metres from each other, and broke open the fund boxes.
The incident of theft came to light at 8.30 am on Tuesday, when the pujaris arrived at these temples and they informed officials of the respective temple committees and the Colvale police.
The police conducted the panchanama with the help of fingerprint experts and a dog squad. There are CCTV cameras at Shree Kelambika temple, and the police are trying to find details of the burglaries through footage captured in the cameras. PI Vijay Rane Sardesai and his team is investigating further in the case.
