Calangute cops share X’mas joy with orphans, aged

Calangute Police brought joy on the faces of orphan kids and senior citizens after police personnel visited various orphanages and old age homes in Calangute and Candolim. 

PI Jivba Dalvi took the initiative to visit old age homes and converse with the senior citizens. 

During the visit to old age homes at Candolim and Calangute, police distributed daily essentials such as bedsheets, towels, soaps, toothbrush, etc to every senior citizen. 

PI Dalvi along with the staff also spent time with the senior citizens by singing songs and interacting with them. 

Police also visited the Provedoria Old Age Home and Arc of Hope Old Age Home located at Candolim.

Besides, old age homes, the police personnel also visited St Anthony Orphanage at Calangute and distributed sweets along with snacks and stationary material including books, pens, etc to the children. 

“In order to improve public-police relationship and to generate a sense of safety in the mind of senior citizens in old age homes and children in orphanages the idea of visiting these places was executed,” PI Dalvi said.
