Calvim suicide: Minor boy’s body recovered

The body of the minor boy, who along with his father, had allegedly jumped into the river from the Calvim Bridge in Aldona was traced on Sunday.

The bodies of both that father and son were cremated later in the evening.

After almost 36 hours of search, the body of the seven-year-old boy, Rudraksh Gavkar was traced at around 11 am.

After sending the body for autopsy, the bodies of the father-son duo were cremated late in the evening. The father along with his minor son allegedly jumped into the river from the Calvim Bridge on Friday evening.

The incident came to light after the man’s wife came home from work and found her husband and son missing.

After conducting a search they found the man’s bike in the middle of the bridge along with their slippers.

The matter was then reported to the police.

Accordign to the police, the man may have committed suicide along with his son.
