In a significant move today, MGP Supremo Sudin Dhavalikar appealed to all the people in Goa, specifically in Mapusa who were fed up of both the BJP and Congress to give TMC-MGP alliance a chance.
He was accompanied by TMC candidate from Mapusa, Advocate Tarak Arolkar and popular leader from the area, Tushar Tople while he made this statement at a press conference in Mapusa. Soon thereafter, Sudin Dhavalikar campaigned extensively for Advocate Tarak Arolkar.
Reiterating his appeal, Sudin said, "Mapusa was traditionally an MGP constituency. But this year, we decided to give it to the Trinamool Congress because of their candidate Advocate Tarak Arolkar who is a credible grassroots leader with a clean image. The decision was taken after deliberations by the Central Committee."
He further stated, "Former MLA and retired Justice Ferdino Rebello once said the MGP government was the best government in Goa since 1963. It is time for the people of Gomantak to give MGP-TMC alliance a chance once again."
With this press conference, Sudin seems to have hit the right note as far as Vaishya and other Hindu voters are concerned and also rest all rumours of MGP hobnobbing with the BJP.
Sudin Dhavalikar also visited Bodgeshwar Devasthan and prayed to the deity for the victory of the alliance just ahead of addressing the media. Advocate Tarak Arolkar, Mapusa MGP block committee office bearers and workers were also present.
