Residents of Calvim-Aldona gathered on Monday to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the tragic Calvim bus accident, offering prayers for the souls of the six victims.
Among the deceased were four primary school girls, Elvina Dias (11), Diana Dias (4), Negal Gracias (10), and Priyal Salgaonkar (10), with two adults, Josephina Dias (58) and Dayanand Hoble (55). The memorial service, which included a litany, was held to honour their memory.
The accident occurred when a passenger bus plu
nged into the river at Carona on February 18, 2012 killing the six victims.
