Canara Bank was recently felicitated by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for its exemplary performance under key central government schemes during the Sankalp Se Siddhi programme held in Goa. The bank was recognised for its contribution to the Atal Pension Yojana, PM SVANidhi, and PM Jan Dhan Yojana. These flagship schemes focus on pension support for unorganised workers, financial assistance to street vendors, and ensuring access to banking services for all, respectively.
Speaking at the event, H K Gangadhar, General Manager and Circle Head of Canara Bank, along with Regional Head Rati Kanta Dora, expressed gratitude for the honour. “We are honoured to receive this recognition from the Chief Minister. Canara Bank has always been at the forefront of driving financial inclusion and supporting government initiatives that uplift the economically vulnerable sections,” Gangadhar said.
Established in 1906, Canara Bank is one of India’s largest public sector banks with a wide network of branches and ATMs.
