OL of Candelaria feast at Pilerne
PANAJI: The annual feast of Our Lady of Candelaria Chapel, Pilerne, will be celebrated on February 7. The traditional Fama, blessing of the banner (maddi) will be held on January 29, at 5 pm, with the recitation of the rosary and litany, followed by mass with sermon and salve.
The vesper will be held on February 6, at 6.30 pm. On the feast day, there will be masses at 7 am, and noon while the concelebrated high mass with procession will be held at 9.30 am. The feast is being celebrated by Ladeo Vishnu Rane and family from Maina-Pilerne.
In the evening at 7 pm, there will be a free movie screening of 'Ghor Sounsar' by the side of the chapel at Pilerne, organised by the Candelaria Chapel Committee.
