Father-son duo arrested for assault
MARGAO: The Maina-Curtorim police have arrested a father-son duo who are suspected to have allegedly assaulted a KTC bus driver. The father and son are the conductor and driver respectively, of a private bus plying along the same route as the KTC bus.
According to Maina-Curtorim police, the incident occurred on January 26, reportedly on the issue of picking up passengers en route. Police said this led to the alleged assault of KTC bus driver, one Gangaram Shetkar, a resident of Paliwada-Usgao, by the duo plying a private bus. While the father - Anand Lotilkar is the conductor of the private bus, the son - Ashish Lotilkar, is the driver, police informed.
The suspected father-son duo has been arrested, police said. An offence under Sections 353, 341 and 504 r/w 34 of IPC has been registered. Further investigations are in progress.
