Admitting that the petition over reservations of wards is likely to be decided in court, Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho said there were chances that candidates could change in some wards.
"I have never interfered in civic polls and while we were told that we would be taken into confidence during reservations, all of a sudden we realised that many of our wards were reserved.”
“While the petition is likely to be decided, there are chances that the reservation may change the candidates in many wards. I only want to say that anybody who wins or anyone who loses will both be my persons and we will continue to take up development works, no matter what happens about reservations and who wins municipal elections," said Godinho.
