Taxi operators staged a protest at a car showroom, citing concerns over newly installed speed governors in their vehicles. This demonstration followed the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) refusing to approve the vehicles for operation due to issues with the speed governor devices.
Accusing the situation of being a potential scam, taxi owners expressed their grievances and demanded swift action to resolve the matter. They stressed the importance of ensuring that vehicles come equipped with properly functioning speed governors straight from the factory.
The taxi operators also stated that the malfunctioning speed governors have posed a significant obstacle, impeding their ability to comply with regulatory standards and conduct their operations smoothly.
