Car turns turtle at Canacona, police unawares
Cops say no accident was reported

Occupants of a car had a fortunate escape after their vehicle turned turtle along the highway at Nagorcem-Canacona at about 1.30 am on Thursday.
The car, whose numbers plates were swiftly dismantled and taken away to avoid prying eyes, crashed under the KRC bridge at Nagorcem.
The occupants of the car, including the driver reportedly escaped with minor injuries, but the car after crashing turned turtle in the NH17 roadside gutter.
When contacted, Canacona Police claimed that no accident involving a car was reported at the police station, even as the mangled car was towed away only late Thursday evening.
