A number of parishioners and devotees venerated a Relic of St Carlo Acutis at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Caranzalem-Panaji.
The Relic of Saint Carlo Acutis, who, along with Pier Giorgio Frassati was canonised by Pope Leo XIV on Sunday, arrived at the Church at 7 pm on Sunday.
Caranzalem Parish Priest, Fr Pio Almeida then placed the Relic on the life-sized statue of the saint and conducted the solemn veneration ceremony for the two newest saints recognised by the Catholic Church.
On Monday, the Caranzalem Parish celebrated Mass at 7.30 am, which was followed by the veneration of the Relic.
The Feast Mass of Our Lady of Nativity was celebrated at 5 pm, followed by the veneration of the Relic till 8 pm.
On Tuesday, the veneration of the Relic resumed after the 8 am Mass and continued along with an exhibition till 1 pm, and from 3 pm to 5 pm. A Mass was celebrated at 5 pm, followed by veneration of the Relic and an exhibition till 8 pm.
On Wednesday, the Relic departed for the Goa Capuchin Provincial House at Cuncolim at 10 am.
