The gram sabha of Carmona village panchayat has adopted a resolution demanding a ban on gambling activities in hotels that would come up in the village in the future.
At the gram sabha meeting chaired by Sarpanch Sandra Fernandes, the gram sabha discussed over gambling activities, including casino gambling carried out in hotel premises.
The sarpanch said Carmona has no starred hotels till date and the gram sabha member had tabled the resolution that no hotels that might come up in the village in future, should be allowed to run gambling activities, including casinos in the hotels.
