Case against man for threatening minor at Candolim shack

A case of criminal intimidation involving a minor has been registered at Calangute Police Station following a complaint filed by a resident of Candolim.

According to police, the offence was registered on April 1 based on a complaint by a person whose identity has been withheld.

The complainant alleged that the incident occurred on December 30, 2025 at Siora Paradise Shack in Candolim.

The accused, identified as Samuel Bobby Fernandes, is alleged to have threatened the complainant by placing a knife on their neck and issuing dire warnings.

Police further stated that the complainant was below 18 years of age at the time of the incident, making the offence more serious.

An offence has been registered under Section 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act, 2003.

Investigations are currently underway under the supervision of PSI Vishwajit Dhavalikar.

Police have issued a notice to the accused in connection with the case.

Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
