Burglars broke into the Shri Dev Ajoba Temple in Keri-Pernem and stolen cash of about Rs 40,000 from the donation box.
According to Mandrem police, the burglary is reported to have taken place sometime before 7.45 am on September 10, when an unknown person broke open the lock of the donation box and stole cash of about Rs 40,000.
Shrikant Talkar (66), originally from Kerio but presently residing in Altinho-Panaji, lodged a complaint with the Mandrem police in this connection. Mandrem LPSI Sonali Harmalkar is investigating the case.
