Stating that the State Government would announce the Casino Policy in the beginning of the New Year 2018, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Thursday said that Goa Gambling Act would be amended once the Casino Policy is announced so that no more vessels are issued casino licences.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a press conference, Parrikar said, "The Casino Policy has been finalised and it would be declared within the next 15 days. Once it is declared we will amend the Goa Gambling Act in the
upcoming budget session."
He however said, "The policy cannot be enforced in all respects. The only way to remove the vessels is by defining a date, it has to be said that there would be no new licences issued."
