Cataract detection camp held
BICHOLIM: A one-day late Premanand Shirodkar Memorial cataract detection camp was organised by Lions Club of Bicholim at Hirabai Zantye Memorial hall Bicholim.
About 150 out of 250 patients, who had enrolled for the camp, were checked and treated. Eye surgeon Dr Chandrakant Shetye conducted the cataract and eye check up. He was assisted by Dr Venktesh and Dr Meenakshi. Lions Club members Prajyot Pai, Ramakant Shetye, Gaurish Shirodkar, Rajesh Karapurkar and others also participated. The Lion Club members informed that the remaining patients will be checked during the next camp on December 6.
