A team of Crime Branch of Goa Police led by PI Rahul Chimulkar and Nitin Halarnkar conducted a raid near the football ground at Nagoa and arrested a native of Odisha with 1.780 kg ganja and 98 g charas worth a total Rs 2.2 lakh.
The accused, Mithun Sarkar (31) from Malkangiri in Odisha, had brought the drugs for sale in Goa during the tourist season.
