PANAJI
The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) on Monday passed a surplus budget of Rs 2.18 crore for the 2024-25 fiscal year, an increase of around 36 lakh compared to last year. The primary focus remains on upgrading basic facilities in the partially dilapidated Panaji market, with a revival of the sopo collection also on the cards.
CCP Mayor Rohit Monserrate stated that while the budget estimates a surplus, much of it will be directed toward market improvements and public space development.
The Mayor further revealed plans to revamp public spaces.
