M/s Celebi Airport Services (India) Pvt Ltd (CASIPL) has bagged ground handling services at the upcoming Mopa International Airport and has got the concurrence from the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERAI) for ad-hoc charges for various ground handling services.
The approval was granted on October 7 by the AERAI, which has said the tariffs are ad-hoc and regular tariff determination exercise will take some time.
CASIPL proposes to commence commercial ground handling services from November 1, the concurrence issued by AERAI Secretary, Col Manu Sooden, said.
Sooden also directed CASIPL to ensure compliance of standardisation of Ground Handling Equipment at the Goa International Airport in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
CASPIL had executed a licence agreement with the airport Operator, GMR back in February this year for “Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain and Transfer” (DBFOMT) of Ground Handling Facilities and Services at the Mopa airport.
The concession agreement between CASPIL and GMR for the ground handling facilities and services is for 20 years.
