Accusing Revolutionary Goans Party President Manoj Parab of making baseless allegations against GPCC President Amit Patkar, Congress workers from Sanvordem constituency led by Damodar Naik and others burnt an effigy of Parab at Sanvordem junction.

The workers criticised Parab for his “unwarranted” remarks against Patkar “without knowing the ground realities and procedures involved in the transportation of e-auctioned ore”.

The Congress workers challenged Parab to take up sensitive issues affecting Goans in the agricultural sector rather than harping on issues which hold no logic.

They also accused Parab of misguiding Goans, particularly those working in the United Kingdom, and said the time has now come to show Parab the truth that he only works against the interest of Goans and not for the development and welfare of the common people.
