Chinchinim witnessed uproar after local villagers chased a speeding rent-a-car after they accused the driver for driving in a rash and negligent manner.
Irate villagers got the traffic police conduct an alchometer test on the driver. They also demanded that the rent-a-car driver be penalised for rash and negligent driving.
Cuncolim police station in-charge, PI Diogo Gracias informed that the rent-a-car driver was driving in a reckless manner and had almost hit another car while overtaking.
He said the driver has been fined for driving in a rash and negligent driving. The rent-a-car driver, police sources said, hails from the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
