The Konkan railway police on Sunday evening detained a rent-a-car at the Margao railway station in connection with theft of liquor from an outlet in the jurisdiction of Anjuna police station.
While the police have detained the vehicle when it reached the Margao railway station, the police personnel later descended at the railway platform in search of the occupants. While the police have managed to nab two occupants of the car, three have managed to escape.
A senior Konkan railway police officer told The Goan that the Konkan railway has only assisted the Anjuna police in the case registered at the police station.
