PANAJI
A group of 2-3 tour operators from China are expected soon in Goa to meet tourism stakeholders from the state. This was confirmed by Paul Cho Kwai Shun, who is chairman of Sino India Trade & Culture Promotion Council.
Tourism stakeholders from Goa have earlier also showed keen interest in getting more tourists from China. Around 100 million Chinese travel every year out of their country, but very few come to Goa.
Kwai Shun said, “The tour operators from China have meetings lined up with hotel owners in Goa.”
Meanwhile, a number of Chinese tourists also visit Bodh Gaya in Bihar every year. Bodh Gaya is a very important site for people of Buddhist faith.
