The Christmas spirit filled Nova Cidade Enclave Jogger’s Park as residents of Nova Cidade Enclave, PDA Colony and nearby areas in Alto-Pilerne came together for Christmas Fiesta 2025. The event was organised by former Pilerne panch Karan Govenkar, along with Pilerne-Marra panchas Ankita Naik and Ashwini Chodankar.
The aim was to bring the community together and share the joy of the festive season. The programme included carol singing, a fancy dress contest, a star-making competition and spot games, offering fun activities for all age groups.
The well-attended event was graced by newly elected ZP member Reshma Bandodkar, Pilerne Deputy Sarpanch Ajay Govekar, former ZP member Sandeep Bandodkar, panchas Ankita Naik and Ashwini Chodankar, and VDC member Gonsalino D’Silva.
A special moment was the felicitation of Gonsalino D’Silva by Reshma Bandodkar for his valuable contribution to social work and his constant support to the community. Bandodkar was also congratulated on her nomination as Adhyaksha (President) of the North Goa Zilla Parishad.
Sound arrangements were handled by Shiv, decorations by Remy and Amit, and food was provided by Royal Restaurant, Porvorim. The programme was compered by Preeti D’Souza and the vote of thanks was given by Miriam Cordeiro.
