People of Cuncolim constituency had reposed their faith in me in the Panchayat election and I expect that the same performance will be repeated in Chandor panchayat as well”, Clafacio told The Goan on Saturday. Clafacio’s group had swept elections for the four Panchayat bodies in Cuncolim constituency, comprising Paroda, Guirdolim, Macazana and Ambaulim. Counting of votes for the Chandor panchayat could not be taken up following the countermanding of election for ward no 5 following the death of a candidate.
