Cleaner crushed to death
PONDA: A 35-year-old truck cleaner died after he was crushed by a lorry at Kundaim Industrial Estate on Sunday night. The truck driver has been arrested in this connection.
According to Ponda Police, the truck cleaner, Laxman Narayanan, was asleep under the lorry (AP-07-TU-2718), which was parked in the industrial estate.
The lorry driver was unaware that the cleaner was asleep under the lorry and started the vehicle to continue his journey.
The cleaner died on the spot, after the wheels ran over him.
Ponda Police arrested the driver G Venkatesh in this connection and is investigating the case.
