Responding to a question by MLA Francisco Pacheco on cases pending against the Chief Secretary, Parsekar said there were cases against Shrivastava when he served as RCS (Registrar of Co-operative Societies) in Delhi. “In 2000, when he was posted at RCS, Delhi he held quasi-judicial post and had issued several affidavits to a cooperative society. Zonal offices had verified the genuineness of the affidavits and had passed an order on it. After seven years, some people complained claiming the affidavits were fraud,” he informed the House. He also informed that after departmental proceedings, an order was issued that cleared Shrivastava of any wrong doing in issuing the affidavits. A case was also filed in the Supreme Court, which had also cleared his name.
