The State government has proposed Rs. 107.61 crore allocations for the Collectorates of both districts, with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant highlighting their efforts to conclude hearings into long-pending Mundkarial cases.
“My Government has made a sincere effort to give relief to the common man by resolving Mundkarial cases, which were pending for several years. The verdicts are passed after concluding hearings, which are being held on a fast track through special hearings every Saturday,” Sawant said while presenting the Budget.
He also assured the House to simplify the process under the Goa Regularization of Unauthorized Construction Act 2016 and announce the verdict of the relevant applications by March. “We also aim to get ISO Certification within this financial year by streamlining the administration process in both the Collectorates,” he added.
The government will also implement a well-equipped Command and Control Mechanism in both districts to react quickly in the event of emergencies and natural disasters.
