The Pramod Sawant-led Cabinet could see more changes in the future, with the Chief Minister hinting at the possibility.
Sawant on Thursday expanded his Cabinet by inducting two new ministers, taking the council of ministers to its full strength of 12. He, has however, remained silent on portfolio allocation to the new ministers as well as on reshuffle of portfolios of the existing Cabinet.
Speaking to media persons just ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, Sawant ruled out any immediate changes in the cabinet while stating that more new faces could be part of the future. “More changes will be seen in the Cabinet in the future. Anything can happen at any time,” he commented.
Post induction of Digambar Kamat and Ramesh Tawadkar, the Chief Minister congratulated both the leaders welcoming them into the cabinet. “I congratulate Ministers Ramesh Tawadkar and Digambar Kamat and welcome them to my cabinet. They will work for the development of the people and Goa,” he said.
Sawant expressed confidence that the new ministers will work with dedication towards the development, progress and prosperity of the State, to achieve the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swayampurna Goa.
