PANAJI
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday launched the much-awaited "home isolation" kit in the presence of the Health Minister at Taj Vivanta, in Panaji.
The kit comprises of a digital thermometer, an oximeter, a spirometer, a hand sanitizer, N95 mask, gloves, Vitamin C and D tablet and hydroxichloroquine tablets.
The Chief Minister announced that the kit will be provided to all Covid-19 patients under home isolation with the aim of reducing the mortality rate in Goa.
"Around 95 per cent of the deaths occurred due to co-morbid conditions while the remaining five per cent were a result of the delay from the patient's side," Sawant stated in an attempt to explain the 484 Covid-related deaths that have been recorded in Goa so far.
