Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday convened a meeting of all the top officials of Goa Police to take stock of several administrative and recruitment related issues plaguing the State's police force.
Director General of Police Dr Muktesh Chander stated, "The CM discussed administrative issues with us. He enquired about the current requirement of personnel and pending vacancies and there was a discussion about regularisation of certain posts."
The meeting was also attended by Inspector General of Police and all Superintendents of Police.
It was learnt that the CM heard the top cops over the pressing requirement for personnel in several specialised cells such as the Anti Narcotics Cell and the cybercrime cell of Goa Police.
