MARGAO
The fate of the long-delayed upgradation of the Margao-Colva road, which was taken up during the BRICS summit two years ago, will be decided by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
GSIDC Chairman Deepak Pauskar and Managing Director Judge Carvalho told the media at Benaulim on Friday that the agency has prepared estimates to the tune of Rs 11 crore for the hot-mixing and illumination of the Margao-Colva road and the file has gone to the Chief Minister for approval.
“The Chief Minister will take a call whether the balance work on the project pertaining to hot-mixing and illumination is to be taken
up by the GSIDC or the PWD,” they said.
Pauskar attributed the delay in the completion of the project to the government decision to initially hand over the project to the PWD for execution.
