In a letter dated June 16 to Jagdeep Sehgal and Pardip Birring, CMC Chief Officer Amul Gaonkar has sought requisite documents as per The Goa Land Development and Building Construction Regulations, 2010, within seven days for further action in the matter.The letter also reiterated that CMC has received a letter from the structural engineer stating that he had disassociated himself from one of the projects of the firm in phase-II at Nagarcem.“Now, presently your construction license is expired and you have applied for renewal vide a letter dated March 8, 2016, and have not enclosed required documents as per The Goa (Regulations of Land Development and Building Construction) Act, 2008, and The Goa Land Development and Building Construction Regulations, 2010,” stated the letter. It may be recalled that the builder had resumed construction at its two sites after the Administrative Tribunal restored its construction licences which were suspended following the Ruby Residency tragedy in January 2014. The builder formally applied for restoration of its construction licences and had invoked the deemed clause after the CMC failed to reply within 60 days period.
