The new Colvale Police in Bardez arrested a local youth with illegal drugs worth Rs 2.10 lakh.
Acting on specific inputs, police conducted a narcotic raid near Camurlim ferry point in the wee hours of Tuesday and apprehended the accused Pradeep Volvoikar (23), a resident of Katurlim-wada, Camurlim.
Police found in his possession illegal drugs of 510 gms of Ganja and 15.10 gms of Ecstasy powder all worth of around Rs 2.10 lakh.
Colvale Police registered a case against the accused under section 20 (b) (ii) (A) and 22 (C) of the NDPS Act.
The raiding team was led by PSI Pritesh Madgaonkar, HC Rupesh Korgoankar, PC Santosh Narvekar, Anish Kumar, Sulesh Naik and all the other staff of the police station.
Colvale Police are investigating further.
