Commercial project in Cuncolim, eye camp in Fatorda launched

MARGAO
Ahead of the ensuing municipal polls, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant hopped from Margao Municipal area to Cuncolim, the two Salcete municipalities going to the polls, launching the ‘Vision for All’ programme in Fatorda and commissioning the Rs 15.5 crore commercial project in Cuncolim.

While the Chief Minister descended at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, to inaugurate the Vision for All programme with former BJP leader and Ravindra Bhavan Chairman, Damu Naik in tow, he made his presence felt at Cuncolim to launch the commercial hall project accompanied by Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias, former MLA Rajan Naik and other party leaders, including outgoing councillors.

At the Ravindra Bhavan, the Chief Minster was apparently touched with the huge turn out of people for the eye camp organised by the government under the ‘Vision for All’ programme. He took the platform to take a dig at the opponents critical of the government functioning, making the people aware that these very same people will also criticise the government on the ‘Vision for All’ programme.

Saying that the ‘Vision for All’ programme is not only intended for the citizens staying in the municipal areas of the State, the Chief Minister said that it will be extended to rural areas from April. “After the ‘Vision for All’ programme, the government will launch the ‘Health for All’ programme to take care of the health of the citizens,” he said, while saying his government believes in taking care of the last man in the society.

In his address, Damu said that the ‘Vision for All’ programme will not only restore their eyesight, but they will be able to see that the BJP government is not based on fott, fotting and fottingponn.

At Cuncolim, the Chief Minister made a call to the people to vote and elect good and honest councillors, ready to work for the people and take the works of the people to the government for redressal.
