Various State government departments and agencies which are engaged in executing the routine sprucing up of the capital city to host the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) have been set a deadline to complete all work by November 15.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday held a meeting to review progress of these works with officials of these departments and agencies, including the Public Works Department (PWD), Goa police, the Corporation of the City of Panaji among others, where the officials were set the November 15 deadline.
Sawant meanwhile said that a review meeting with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) is set to be held on November 7 and issues related to invitations for guests and other logistics are being worked out.
“Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur is also reviewing preparations,” Sawant said, adding that this year’s edition will be organised with greater fizz as it is the first since 2019 to be held without the pandemic restrictions.
