Concerns after sunset at Sunset Point in Sanvordem

Concerns after sunset at Sunset Point in Sanvordem

SANGUEM

The Sunset Point at Mirabag-Sanvordem, which was constructed a few years back for the benefit of locals, is slowly turning into a haven for antisocial activities.

When the Sunset Point was developed, it had a children’s play area and benches for people to sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. However, in the recent past, the place has turned into a haven for antisocial activities, with authorities turning a blind eye to the situation.

The children’s play area is lying in shambles and is totally damaged by antisocial elements. The swings and other playing equipment are broken. So also is the case with cement benches which are also broken.

There are beer and liquor bottles strewn all over the place, indicating the activities happening after dusk at the Sunset Point at Mirabag-Curchorem.

Residents in the area consider the development at the Sunset Point to be a total waste of public money, and have appealed to authorities to put a stop to visitors visiting the Sunset Point before any untoward incident takes place in the area.
