Angry Mahila Congress workers led by President Pratima Coutinho on Monday burnt the effigy of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Kattar for making derogatory comments against Congress president Sonia Gandhi,.
Condemning the CM statement that people of Haryana will stop saying Bharat Mata ki Jai and Sonia Gandhi ki Jai if the Congress returns to power in the state, Pratima said the statement only goes to show the mindset of the CM under whose leadership, Haryana has registered huge number of cases against women.
She pointed out that instead of making the derogatory statement against Sonia Gandhi, Haryana Chief Minister should explain to the people of the country why the sex ratio is the lowest in Haryana compared to other states. “Chief Minister Kattar has no right to attack Sonia Gandhi who has sacrificed her life for the country. The derogatory statement only shows the mindset of the BJP and RSS towards women”, she added.
