Congress workers led by Sankalp Amonkar, Varad Mardolkar, Janardhan Bhandari and others held a protest outside the Central Bureau of Investigation office at Bambolim demanding action against MPT iron ore smuggling issue.
Congress workers gave slogans and demanded immediate action against those involved in the alleged theft of ore.
Amonkar had previously lodged a complaint at the CBI office concerning the matter of ‘missing’ iron ore from government property. He urged the CBI officers to investigate the matter on priority basis and alleged that a local MLA was involved in the alleged theft.
