CANACONA
A cyclist from Kerala on a unique mission to protest against price rise, growing unemployment and other issues reached Goa on Saturday and was felicitated at Canacona Congress Block meet attended by former union minister P C Chidambaram and others.
Rafique Kolam from Kerala began his unique strike protest by cycling for over 3,000 kms to reach Parliament House in New Delhi on October 23. He crossed into Goa via Polem border and accidentally came in contact with the Canacona Congress.
He was then felicitated by Chidambaram in the presence of Goa Desk Incharge Dinesh Gundu Rao, Opposition Leader Digambar Kamat, Curtorim MLA Reginaldo Lourenco, GPCC President Girish Chodankar and others.
Rafique is a member of Indian Youth Congress.
