VALPOI/BICHOLIM
According to Valpoi Police, Mahendra Solyekar (32), a Police Constable attached with the CID at Bicholim, was on his way home on a two-wheeler for lunch but at a turn near Solyem he collided with an oncoming pick-up. Solyekar was crushed under the wheels of the truck.
In another accident, an employee of LIC Bicholim office, Premanand Sawant (46) from Assagao died after his motorcycle was hit by a pickup near Salkar Residency at Bordem-Bicholim.
