Cops summon Herald employees, seek accounts of lottery games

Crime Branch of Goa Police has summoned officials and accountants of Herald Publications Pvt Ltd group while ordering them to produce the accounts of lottery games of Mexican Housie and German Housie aired on the group s news channel.

Last week, a team of personnel from the Crime Branch of Goa Police led by PI Rajan Prabhudesai and PI Dattaguru Sawant, including officers of the cyber crime police station,

had raided a photocopy and stationery shop located near Azad Maidan in Panaji in connection with the same case. The complainant Adv Rajeev Gomes in his complaint, stated that the public is solicited to buy a product for Rs 50 and take part in the Mexican Housie in order to win prizes worth Rs 75,000.
