Cortalim woman dies of snake bite
CORTALIM: A 60-year-old woman from Vollant in Cortalim died late Monday evening after being bitten by a venomous snake.
According to Cortalim Panch Peter Gama, the incident occurred when Maria Santana Noronha and her husband rushed to the hill after being informed that fire had engulfed their cashew plantation.
Santana to her bad luck, while attempting to reach the scene of the fire fell on the ground and got bitten by a snake.
Santana was immediately taken to the Goa Medical College Hospital Bambolim where she passed away after two days in the Intensive Care Unit.
