Goa Khadi and Village industries Board (GKVIB) Chairman and Cortalim MLA Anton Vas on Sunday said that he would love to see more youth coming forward to avail the various self employment opportunities and schemes offered under the GKVIB .
Vas was speaking to reporters at the GKVIB schemes awareness camp organised by Velsao Panchayat on Sunday
“We are thankful to the Velsao Panchayat to organise this program so that we can explain to all the people in details and even offer training in various buisness opportunities available through schemes in GKVIB. We want to see that there is more participation from the youth because we have great self employment opportunities, schemes and even subsidies that can go to 90 percent in some sectors,” he said.
“We cannot give goverment jobs to everyone and we appeal to the youth to take maximum benefits of our schemes and financial offers available for business. We offer up to Rs 50 lakhs sanction for self employment schemes that are available in GKVIB. We are willing to carry out awareness camp and training to the people across all panchayats,” he added.
GKVIB Member Roquezinho D’Souza speaking to media said that the GKVIB schemes had got a tremendous response from the people.
